BREATHE RESIDENCY PROGRAM
The Breathe Residency Program, is an initiative that places professional teaching artists inside classrooms to engage and empower students through music production, creative writing, and visual arts.
After achieving great success with the after-school initiative Breathe Youth Arts Program (launched in 2012), Light of Chance, Inc. created an in-school residency to provide a non-traditional creative outlet during classroom learning. The program educates and fosters artistic expression, leadership, and social skills. Breathe provides constructive creative outlets, encourages cooperation, and teamwork; as well as teaches artistic and social skills in an environment where youth are valued and celebrated.
In 2014, Vito Tisdale began his partnership with Light of Chance, Inc.’s residency program to help teach and facilitate the initiative.
